Le Méridien`s Asian Expansian Continues

February 3rd 2003, London—- Le MÌ©ridien`s exciting new hotel at Hong Kong`s new Cyberport development is nearing completion, as those who witnessed today`s Topping Off Ceremony will agree. Guest of Honour Mr. Tang Ying Yen Henry, GBS, JP, Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, joined Le MÌ©ridien`s Regional Managing Director Michael Sagild, General Manager Mr. Dean Schreiber, Mr. Robert Lee, Chairman, PCCW Infrastructure, and other dignitaries for the celebration. Scheduled to open in September 2003, Le MÌ©ridien Cyberport is the company`s first managed hotel in Hong Kong, and its first property featuring the Art+Tech design concept in the Asia Pacific region.

The Topping Off Ceremony is a symbolic tradition marking the completion of the uppermost floor of a building project, in this case the 13th floor of Le Méridien Cyberport.
Le Méridien`s Art+Tech concept was one of the key reasons the group was awarded the much-coveted hotel project. Rooms will combine state-of-the-art technology with cutting edge interior design, resulting in a truly stylish hotel experience. In addition, sophisticated telecommunication services will be made available to the Cyberport community, including high-speed Internet connections, a satellite Master Antenna System with as many as 150 channels, and a Cyberportal featuring local news updates.

Located in Telegraph Bay, Le Méridien Cyberport boasts stunning views of the South China Sea and Lamma Island. The hotel is also a key component of the Cyberport development, a strategic information technology infrastructure project initiated by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Le Méridien Cyberport will feature 173 guestrooms and suites, 3 restaurants, a delicatessen, bar, meeting facilities, a spa and fitness centre, and an outdoor heated swimming pool.
