Hyatt International Executive Appointment


Mr. Bernd Chorengel, president of Hyatt International Corporation, is pleased to announce that Stephen Blackburne has been named general manager of Park Hyatt Hamburg.

Blackburne is a graduate of University of Surrey and consolidated his studies with food and beverage management experience with Rock Resorts in St. John and the U.K., and as a consultant with Pannell Kerr Forster Associates in London. He joined Hyatt International`s Europe, Africa and the Middle East divisional team in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1995 as an operations analyst. After further assignments with the Savoy Group in London as an operations and analysis manager, as well as a hotel manager, Blackburne rejoined Hyatt International as general manager of Park Hyatt Johannesburg.
Upon returning to the Lausanne divisional office in 2002, he assisted with the openings of Park Hyatt Paris-Vend™me and Park Hyatt Moscow.
