Extended Stay America, Inc. 4Q 2002 Earnings Report Scheduled For Tuesday, January 28, 2003

Extended Stay America, Inc. (NYSE: ESA) will release its fourth quarter 2002 financial earnings results on Tuesday, January 28, 2003.

To announce the earnings results, the Company will host a live webcast at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). The webcast can be accessed via the Company`s web site at www.extendedstay.com in the Investor Information section.

An online replay of the webcast will be archived on the Company`s website approximately two hours after the live presentation and will remain on the site until the Company`s next earnings announcement in April 2003.
