Wyndham International Executive Resigns To Lead New Private Investment Group

Wyndham International, Inc. (NYSE:WYN) announced today that Les Bentley, executive vice president of Wyndham International and president of the Wyndham hotel group, has resigned from the company to lead an investment group. Ted Teng, chief operating officer, will assume Bentley`s duties.

Fred J. Kleisner, president and chief executive officer said: “Les Bentley has long been synonymous with Wyndham and helped guide the brand`s growth from just a handful of hotels into one of the nation`s leading upscale hotel and resort brands. He developed the Wyndham Garden Hotels into an important part of our company. We wish him much success in his new venture.”

Bentley was named president of the Wyndham brand in January 1998. He previously served as chief operations officer for Wyndham Hotels Corporation, where he was responsible for all hotels operating under the Wyndham flag. He joined the company in 1985.

“Our plans are to flatten the organizational structure and each of Les Bentley`s direct reports will now report to me. We have an outstanding management team throughout our hotel network, which provides us a strong base to further develop the organization,” said Teng.
