Marriott Names Andrew Webber General Manager Of Falls Church, Va. TownePlace Suites

Marriott International (MAR/NYSE) names Andrew Webber general manager of the new Falls Church, Va., TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Scheduled to open March 8, the 127-suite hotel is located on Hillwood Avenue, near the intersection of Routes 7 and 29.
Webber brings nine years of experience with Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites to the Falls Church property. He has served as general manager of TownePlace Suites in Sterling, Va., assistant general manager with the Dulles Airport Courtyard by Marriott in Dulles, Va., and sales manager at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C.

The new Falls Church TownePlace Suites will be the seventh TownePlace Suites to open in Virginia. Other TownePlace Suites hotels in Virginia include the nation`s first, which opened in February 1997 in Newport News; Sterling; Fairfax (near Dulles International Airport); Richmond; and Virginia Beach-Chesapeake. Another TownePlace Suites is under development in Chantilly.

The two-year-old TownePlace Suites brand offers extended-stay travelers a moderately-priced suite option. Resembling a row of town homes in a residential setting, TownePlace Suites feature studio, one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, two-line telephones with data ports and voicemail, an exercise room, outdoor pool, guest laundry and on-site faxing and photocopying. Twice-weekly housekeeping and 24-hour staffing are standard services.
