The MainStay Suites Pittsburgh Airport, a 100-unit extended-stay hotel, celebrated its grand opening earlier this month.
The hotel, located at 1000 Park Lane, seeks to attract business travelers visiting the Pittsburgh area for an extended period of time, according to Amy Wells, the hotel`s general manager.

MainStay Suites hotels are designed to fill the gap between existing upscale and basic extended-stay lodging products.  They provide guests with unique amenities to make a longer stay more comfortable and are located close to corporate facilities and high-growth residential areas.

“The MainStay Suites Pittsburgh Airport offers business travelers the amenities they need at an affordable price,” said Wells.  “Our location and proximity to downtown Pittsburgh makes MainStay Suites a natural choice for business and other travelers in need of affordable, value-packed extended stay lodging.”

The hotel, located 10 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, is owned and operated by Sunburst Hospitality Corporation of Silver Spring, Md.

The hotel features suites with fully equipped kitchens and work-dining areas.  Kitchens feature refrigerator-freezers and ice makers, microwave ovens, coffee makers, toasters, cook top ranges, dishwashers, sinks with disposals, dishware and utensils.

Work-dining areas include generous work space, ergonomic chairs, two direct-dial phone lines with data port and speakerphone, voice mail and bright lighting.

All units include either a sofa bed or recliner, iron and ironing board and satellite TV.  One-bedroom suites have two TVs.

Hotel features include an automated self-service system that allows travelers to check in and check out in minutes, as well as an exercise room, guest laundry, sport court and barbecue grill area.

Guests receive complimentary deluxe continental breakfast and complimentary manager`s reception with hors d`oeuvres and beverages 3 nights a week.

Rates begin at $59.95 per night or $39.95 per night if the guest stays a month or more.
