Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has signed a Management
agreement to operate a 5 Stars Resort in Jeddah, King-dom
of Saudi Arabia. The new Movenpick Resort, Al
Nawras Island, has individual villas only. All Villas have
their private swimming pools. This exclusive resort fits in
well with the existing Hotels and Resorts operated by
Swiss hotelier group Mövenpick.
The new Mövenpick Resort, Al Nawras Island, is located on the private
man made island of Al Nawras, on the famous Corniche, some 22 km
from Jeddah City and 18 km from the international airport. It has 60
one bedroom villas and 33 three bedroom villas. Each villa has a liv-ingroom,
a dining area with a fully equipped kitchen and a private
swimming pool overlooking the Red Sea. Guests can enjoy the culinary
delights of Mövenpick Restaurant Al Wadaa (opening October 2002)
serving Lebanese, Asian and Italian cuisine, or opt for the BBQ Terrace
open in the evening only watching the sun set over the Red Sea while
enjoying some of the best Shawarma and other grilled meats in Jed-dah.
Those in search of recreation will appreciate the Men only fitness club
with a Hair Salon (opening December 2002) sauna, steam bath, Ja-cuzzi,
massage, indoor swimming pool and well equipped exercise
rooms. For the ladies a Spa/Wellness centre offering Jacuzzi, Steam
bath, sauna, massage, beauty salon, Hair salon and a fully equipped
exercise room (opening late 2003).
A conference centre for up to 60 persons and a business centre are
available for the use of business travellers (opening October 2002). Al
Harthy international congress and conference centre is just 5 km away
from the hotel, and it is a 90-km journey to Mecca.
