Peninsula Hotels Highly Ranked Among The å“Worldå‘s Bestå” In Travel & Leisure Rea

Travelers looking for the best places to stay in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Los Angeles need look no further than The Peninsula hotel in those locations, according to readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.
In the 2002 Readers’ Poll published this month, The Peninsula Bangkok clinched the award for “Best Hotel in Asia” and was ranked Number 2 among the “World’s Best” hotels.
“Everyone at The Peninsula Bangkok is extremely proud to have won these awards. We are delighted by the high ranking given to us by the readers of Travel + Leisure as it is valuable recognition of our effort to provide the best hotel experience possible for our guests” said Ian Michael Coughlan, General Manager of The Peninsula Bangkok.
The Peninsula Hong Kong was not far behind in the rankings. It was voted 4th in the “Best Hotel in Asia” category and 10th in the “World’s Best”.
Among the “Best Hotels in the United States”, Travel + Leisure readers put The Peninsula Beverly Hills Number 3 on the list. The hotel was ranked Number 21 overall in the world.
Travel + Leisure’s “The World’s Best Awards” began in 1996. Each year, the magazine’s well-traveled readers are asked to fill in questionnaires that rate hotels on rooms/ambiance, service, facilities/activities, location and value. The poll also rates the world’s best cities, islands, tour operators, airlines, car-rental agencies, cruise lines and spas.
