SILVER SPRING, Md. (April 15, 2002) - Choice Hotels International, (NYSE:CHH), one of the world`s largest lodging franchisors, named Tim Cockrell of Thornton, Colorado a 100,000 miles winner of its new “Thanks a Million Sweepstakes.”
Entries for the “Thanks a Million Sweepstakes” may be made by booking a reservation at a Choice brand hotel and entering the “Thanks a Million Sweepstakes” at Choice`s website www.choicehotels.com.
The “Thanks a Million Sweepstakes” awards a one million airline miles grand prize and ten 100,000 miles prizes. Other 100,000 miles winners will be announced in coming weeks and the million miles grand prize winner will be announced in May.
The “Thanks a Million Sweepstakes” is a random drawing available to guests staying at any of the 3,300 Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Clarion, Sleep Inn, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn and MainStay Suites brand hotels in the U.S. and the Caribbean between February 1 and April 30, 2002. Choice`s “Thanks a Million Sweepstakes” is part of its triple miles promotion which allows members of American Airlines AAdvantage, Delta SkyMiles, Northwest Airlines WorldPerks and US Airways Dividend Miles to receive triple miles when staying at any of the 3,300 Choice brand hotels in the U.S. and the Caribbean. The promotion ends April 30.

Throughout the triple miles promotion, guests at Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Clarion, Sleep Inn and MainStay Suites brand hotels in the U.S. and the Caribbean can earn 750 miles per stay instead of the standard 250 miles. Guests at Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn brand hotels can earn 450 miles per stay instead of the standard 150 miles.
To receive triple miles, guests need only to stay at a qualifying rate and provide the selected airline member number upon check-in.
