Cendant`s Hotel Division Announces Agreement With Hotwire

Cendant Corporation`s Hotel Division today announced that more than 2,000 of its hotels will be distributed through Hotwire, a discount travel Web site.

Hotwire customers will be able to purchase discounted Hot-RatesSM at participating Days Inn®, Ramada®, Travelodge®, Howard Johnson® and Wingate Inn® hotels, for advance reservations, subject to availability.
Hotwire targets cost-conscious leisure travelers who are willing to be flexible on certain details in exchange for low rates. When customers choose a destination and travel date, Hotwire instantly quotes low rates for each available hotel and lists its amenities. Hotwire`s Hot-Rates can be reserved until 6 p.m. the day of check-in.

“Our relationship with Hotwire will expand the online reach of our franchised hotels to a wider audience of consumers,” said Peter Strebel, Cendant Hotel Division senior vice president of marketing services.

“We are proud to offer Cendant`s quality hotels,” said Spencer Rascoff, Hotwire vice president of hotels. “Our customers now can expect even more availability, better pricing and ultimately better deals.”

Hotwire was launched in October 2000, offering an affordable and easy way for travelers to purchase airline tickets, hotel rooms and car rentals online with trusted brands. Hotwire`s Hot-Fares are available with 33 airlines including founding partners American, America West, Continental, Northwest, United and U.S. Airways. In addition, hotel Hot-Rates are available in more than 140 U.S. cities and resort destinations, and are guaranteed to be the lowest rates available under Hotwire`s hotel “Double the Difference” Low Price Guarantee. If a customer finds a lower price for their entire stay at the same hotel on the same dates within 48 hours of booking, Hotwire will give the customer double the rate difference.
