ATLANTA, July 3, 2003—Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today reported traffic results for the month of June 2003. System traffic for June 2003 decreased 5.3 percent from June 2002 on a capacity decrease of 9.1 percent. Delta’s system load factor was 80.5 percent in June 2003, up 3.2 points from the same period last year.

Domestic traffic in June 2003 decreased 2.1 percent year over year on a capacity decrease of 7.0 percent. Domestic load factor in June 2003 was 79.3 percent, up 4.0 points from the same period a year ago. International traffic in June 2003 decreased 15.0 percent year over year on a 16.0 percent decrease in capacity. International load factor was 85.0 percent, up 1.0 point from June 2002.

During June 2003, Delta operated its schedule at a 99.6 percent completion rate, compared to 99.0 percent in June 2002. Delta boarded 9,207,535 passengers during the month of June 2003.
