America West Extends Popular Fare Sale

PHOENIX, June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) today announced that it is extending its first-class fare sale through Monday, June 30, 2003, with fares as low as $149 each way for flights within the United States. These fares represent discounts of up to 70 percent off of America West`s normal first-class fares and are lower than the coach fares charged by some other airlines.

“Customers will be smiling when they take their first-class seat on America West, knowing they paid less than a last-minute coach fare on other airlines,” said Scott Bowers, vice president, revenue management. “We encourage travelers who fly other low-fare carriers that don`t have first class seating to give America West a try.”

First class seating and several other services distinguish America West from other low-fare carriers. America West`s every day business-friendly fares and flexible ticketing policies also set the airline apart from high cost carriers.

These special fares are available for purchase now through June 30, 2003, with travel good through Sept. 30, 2003. America West`s standard 50-percent FlightFund mileage bonus for first-class ticket purchases applies on these special fares. Customers who purchase tickets at www.americawest.com also receive an additional 500 bonus miles.
