America West Offers First-Class Fare Sale

PHOENIX, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) today announced a first-class sale with fares as low as $149 each way for flights within the United States. These fares represent discounts of up to 70 percent off of America West`s normal first-class fares and are lower than the coach fares charged by some other airlines.

“Customer response to our creation of business-friendly fares has been fantastic and now we`ve created yet another incentive for travelers to enjoy America West`s service,” said Scott Bowers, vice president, revenue management. “Most other low-cost carriers don`t even offer first-class service, so travelers who like these prices should certainly fly America West.”

These special fares are available for purchase now through June 24, 2003, with travel good through Sept. 30, 2003. America West`s standard 50-percent FlightFund mileage bonus for first-class ticket purchases applies on these special fares. Customers who purchase tickets at www.americawest.com also receive an additional 500 bonus miles.

Tickets can be purchased by calling America West at 1-800-2-FLY-AWA (1-800-235 9292) or by logging onto the airline`s Web site at www.americawest.com. America West Vacations also offers first-class vacation packages, which can be purchased by calling 1-800-356-6611 or by logging onto www.AmericaWestVacations.com.

Founded in 1983 and proudly celebrating its 20-year anniversary in 2003, America West Airlines is the nation`s second largest low-fare airline and the only carrier formed since deregulation to achieve major airline status. Today, America West serves 94 destinations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
