US Airways Names Charles V. Stipancic Vice President - Corporate Real Estate

US Airways today named Charles V. Stipancic as its vice president - corporate real estate. In his new position, Stipancic will be in charge of all commercial aspects of the company`s real estate, including planning, design and construction. He will maintain key relationships with airports where US Airways operates and will oversee the company`s environmental programs.

“US Airways is fortunate to have a person with the experience and talent of Chuck Stipancic on its staff. Chuck knows the US Airways system well and will be able to take on additional responsibilities smoothly at this critical time,” said US Airways President and CEO Rakesh Gangwal.


Stipancic, who has been with US Airways since 1989, currently is Director- Airport Affairs and Corporate Real Estate, based at the company`s Arlington, Va. headquarters. In addition to overseeing corporate real estate at a number of US Airways` largest airports, Stipancic also oversees US Airways` commercial real estate, including reservations centers, ticket offices and corporate offices. Recent major projects he has supervised include the new regional airline terminal in Philadelphia, which opened this past summer, and the new international terminal in Philadelphia, which is scheduled to open next year.


Stipancic, 40, holds a bachelor of science degree in business and communication from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.


Stipancic and his wife, Leah, have two children and reside in northern Virginia.
