Aeroplan Announces Executive Appointments

MONTREAL, Sept. 25 /CNW/ - Aeroplan President and Chief Executive
Officer, Rupert Duchesne, today announced two key executive appointments
designed to support Aeroplan`s strategic business objectives as an independent
wholly-owned subsidiary of Air Canada. Effective immediately, Aeroplan has
named Luce Veilleux to the position of Vice President and Chief Marketing
Officer and Marc Girard to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer.

Luce Veilleux, formerly Vice President of Marketing - Retail and
Commercial Banking at RBC Royal Bank, will be responsible for: travel,
financial, and retail partnerships; brand management and marketing
communications; customer relationship management; and database marketing. Luce
brings to Aeroplan over 18 years of experience at the Royal Bank in financial
cards, other products, client relationship management, loyalty, database
development and management as well as all aspects of direct marketing and
client communications. Luce graduated with an MBA from the University of
Western Ontario and also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill
University. She will be based in Toronto.

Marc Girard will be responsible for all aspects of financial management
including financial planning and reporting, financing, treasury and tax
matters. Marc has acquired extensive financial management experience within
the BCE Group of companies where he held progressively more senior positions
including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BCE Media.
Prior to joining Aeroplan, he was Vice President and Treasurer at Quebecor and
Quebecor Media with responsibility for financing, investor relations and
treasury management. A Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Financial
Analyst (CFA), Marc graduated with an MBA from McGill University. He will be
located in Montréal.

In addition to Luce Veilleux and Marc Girard, Aeroplan`s full executive
team also includes: Yves Desjardins-Siciliano, Vice President, Corporate
Development; Liz Graham, Vice President, Customer Service; André Hébert, Vice
President, Information Technology; Melissa Sonberg, Vice President, Corporate
Resources; and Marc Trudeau, Vice President, Strategy and Business
Development.
