Kansas City, MO—Vanguard Airlines, Inc. (NasdaqSC: VNGD) reported traffic for the month of July 2001 of 100.0 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs). Capacity was 133.9 million available seat miles (ASMs). July load factor was 74.7 percent.

As compared to July of last year, load factor increased 9.9 points from 64.8 percent. Traffic was nearly unchanged from 99.8 million RPMs in July 2000. Capacity decreased 13 percent from 154.0 million ASMs in July 2000.

For the first seven months of the year, load factor increased 5.8 points to 67.2 percent from 61.4 percent for the same period in 2000. Year-to-date RPMs increased eight percent to 622.9 million from 577.8 million through July 2000. Year-to-date ASMs decreased two percent to 926.3 million from 941.2 million for the same period last year.
