Vanguard Airlines Reports October Traffic

Kansas City, MO—Vanguard Airlines, Inc. (NasdaqSC: VNGD) reported traffic for the month of October 2000 increased 12 percent to approximately 81.7 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in October 2000 from approximately 73.2 million in October 1999. Capacity increased 15 percent to approximately 141.1 million available seat miles (ASMs) in October 2000 versus 122.7 million in October 1999. Load factor decreased approximately 1.7 points to 57.9 percent in October 2000 from 59.6 percent in October 1999.


Year-to-date RPMs increased 12 percent to approximately 808.3 million in 2000 from approximately 721.1 million in 1999. Year-to-date ASMs increased 27 percent to approximately 1,349.7 million in 2000 from approximately 1,059.3 million in 1999. Year-to-date load factor decreased approximately 8.2 points to 59.9 percent in 2000 from 68.1 percent in 1999.
