Virgin Atlantic Cargo Names New Area Sales Manager For Scotland And The North East

Virgin Atlantic Cargo has announced the appointment of David Orr as Area Sales Manager for Scotland and the North East of England. David, who will be based at the airline`s Prestwick office, takes up his new post from May 15 and will report to Dan Parker; Virgin Atlantic Cargo`s Sales Manager.

David started his career in the air cargo and forwarding industry with Circle Freight in Glasgow in 1989 as an Air Export Clerk. He then joined the Scottish forwarder Arbuckle Smith in 1992 as an Export Supervisor. From there he went to work at Redfern in 1999 where he is currently the Air Export Manager.


Commented Dan Parker: “We had an overwhelming number of high calibre applicants for this position and competition was extremely stiff. I am therefore delighted to welcome David to our growing commercial team at Virgin Atlantic Cargo and I am confident he will significantly strengthen our operation in Scotland and the North East of England. His industry experience to date has enabled him to gain a wealth of expertise in our field and particularly within the Scottish market that made him the right choice for the position.”


David is 29 and lives in Scotland. His hobbies include golf, tennis and skiing and he has even gained his private pilots license.
