Gulf Air Nominated For Travel Industry Oscars

Gulf Air, flagship carrier of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, has been nominated for two awards at the Travel Intelligence Middle East - Achieving Industry Excellence Awards on April 30.

Described as the `Oscars` of the regional travel industry, Gulf Air has been shortlisted for Best Short Haul Airline and Best Business Class Airline awards, which will be presented at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai, on the eve of Arabian Travel Market 2001.

“It is a great achievement and fine endorsement of Gulf Air`s services to be nominated for the Achieving Industry Excellence Awards. As an airline, Gulf Air works exceptionally hard to maintain the highest standards, and always strives to take the lead in every aspect of its operations.

“For example, new initiatives such as `Care in the Air` go a step beyond customer service training and helps ensure Gulf Air passengers experience the most highly personalised care and individual service,” commented Adel Ali, Vice-President, Commercial and Customer Service, Gulf Air.

The annual event will honour winners in 16 categories. In addition to leading airlines, the Achieving Industry Excellence Awards will recognise the success of hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines, travel agencies, tour operators and travel internet sites.
