American Airlines To Launch Nonstop Seasonal Service Between Chicago O’hare And Anchorage, Effective

CHICAGO - American Airlines today announced it will begin offering nonstop service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Anchorage. American will operate a daily round-trip flight on the route from June 15 through Sept. 30 using a 176-seat Boeing 757 aircraft, featuring the added legroom of the airline`s “More Room Throughout Coach” interiors.


“We have long wanted to establish service between Chicago and Anchorage,” said Tom Aichele, American’s managing director - Passenger Sales in Chicago. “Our customers have been asking for easy access to Alaska during the summer vacation season and this flight will provide that opportunity.”


Here is the schedule for service beginning June 15:


From Chicago to Anchorage:


Flight 241 Departs: 4:20 p.m. Arrives: 7:58 p.m.

From Anchorage to Chicago:


Flight 242 Departs: 9:05 p.m. Arrives: 5:54 a.m. (the next day)


American also offers service to Anchorage from its Dallas/Fort Worth and St. Louis hubs.
