The Great Airmiles Give Away

London, October 6, 1999: British Airways and its oneworldTM partners have launched the alliance’s first extensive frequent flyer promotion with the chance to win prizes including 75,000 Air Miles - equivalent to three around the world trips - and First class tickets.


Members travelling between October and December 31 on any of the seven oneworld airlines will be entered into a lucky draw to win one of six prizes.

At the end of the promotion one lucky member will be given 75,000 miles - equivalent to three around the world trips - while five others will receive a pair of first class tickets that can be used to fly to any of the 650 plus worldwide destinations served by the oneworld carriers.


In addition, any frequent flyer club members who fly with more than three oneworld carriers between October and December 31 will be given an extra 2,000 Air Miles; while those flying on more than four of the airlines will be given an extra 10,000 Air Miles, and any member that travels on five or more of the airlines will have 20,000 Air Miles added to their account.


All seven oneworld airlines are taking part in the promotion which will run in most of the 160 countries served by oneworld airlines.
