British Airways today announced the resignation of Colin Matthews, Director of Technical Operations.

After almost five years with the Company, Colin Matthews will leave British Airways at the end of October to become Group Managing Director of Transco and Executive Member of the Lattice Group Board.

As Technical Director, Colin is responsible for managing over 10,000 staff across four departments - Engineering, Information Management, Procurement and Property.

Rod Eddington, Chief Executive of British Airways, said: “Colin has made a tremendous contribution to the Leadership Team of British Airways throughout the last five years.

“He is renowned for his vision and expertise and is widely respected across the company. I am very sorry to lose Colin and wish him every success in his new position.”
