Saudi Arabian Airlines participated and sponsored The Biennial Congress of the International Advertising Association (IAA), which was held in Beirut, Lebanon, from 22-24 May 2002. The IAA Congress is considered to be the largest and most prestigious assembly of advertising and publicity companies worldwide. Many television stations and media and press houses also participated, in addition to some major clients and associate companies. The event was inaugurated by H.E. Issam Faris Vice President of the Council of Ministers and included major speakers like the world renowned Peruvian economist Hernando De Soto, President and CEO Nissan Motor Company, Carlos Ghosn and CEO Saatchi and Saatchi worldwide, Kevin Roberts. Also featuring as a guest speaker was Mr. Abdullah Al-Jehani, VP Advertising and Marketing Programs, Saudi Arabian Airlines.
