America West Airlines
(NYSE: AWA) today announced the election of Scott L. Bowers to the position of
vice president, revenue management; Kenneth I. Feldman to vice president,
marketing; and Randy L. Richards to vice president, cargo.

In his new capacity, Bowers will oversee the airline`s revenue management
activities including pricing, yield management and revenue analysis.  Bowers,
a 16-year veteran of America West Airlines, has held several senior positions
in the revenue management arena and in operations.  He most recently served as
senior director of pricing.  Prior to joining America West, Bowers was in the
financial services industry.  He earned his bachelor`s degree in business
administration at Arizona State University.

In his new role, Feldman will have responsibility for advertising,
creative services, promotions, sports sponsorships, loyalty and partner
marketing, product marketing and America West Clubs.  Previously, he was
senior director of marketing.  Prior to joining America West in 1996,
Feldman held management positions in marketing and finance with the Frito-Lay
division of PepsiCo, Inc. and with General Mills Restaurants, Inc.  He holds a
master of business administration in finance from The University of Chicago
and a bachelor of arts in economics from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.

Richards joins America West to oversee the airline`s cargo sales and
service efforts.  He has more than 10 years of experience in the freight
services business.  Prior to joining America West, Richards held the position
of director of U.S. field operations at AIT Worldwide Logistics.  Previously,
he held sales and operations management positions at Eagle Global Logistics
and Emery Worldwide.  He holds a bachelor of business administration degree in
management from Iowa State University.
