America West Announces Additional Flights Between Its Las Vegas Hub and Seattle


PHOENIX, May 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—America West Airlines
(NYSE: AWA) announced today that it is adding three roundtrip nonstop flights
between its Las Vegas hub and Seattle.  The airline will utilize Airbus A319
and A320 aircraft for this new service, which begins Sept. 4, 2002.  The
Airbus aircraft have seating for 12 in first class and 112 and 138 in the main
cabin respectively.

“This new service will give customers in the Pacific Northwest additional
service to Las Vegas, a destination many people love to visit.  These flights
also provide options for connecting through our Las Vegas hub to all of the
major destinations in the eastern U.S.,” said Scott Kirby, executive vice
president, sales and marketing.

Earlier this year, America West announced additional service to 10 nonstop
destinations from Las Vegas and new service for six markets including
Colorado Springs, Colo.; Salt Lake City; Mexico City; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.;
Fresno, Calif.; and Santa Barbara, Calif.
