America West Announces Introductory Fare Sale for New Service To Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina

PHOENIX, April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—America West Airlines
(NYSE: AWA) today announced an introductory fare sale for the airline`s new
nonstop service between its hubs in Phoenix and Las Vegas and Raleigh-Durham,
North Carolina, which will begin May 31, 2002. Fares begin as low as $99 each
way, based on a roundtrip purchase.
Roundtrip tickets must be purchased by May 9, 2002, for travel from
May 31 through Sept. 30, 2002. A one-night stay and 14-day advance purchase
are required.
America West will provide connecting service to 40 destinations in the
western U.S. including quick connections linking the thriving high-tech
Research Triangle Region with many other high-tech destinations including the
Silicon Valley, Seattle, Albuquerque, N.M. and Portland, Ore. Among the
airline`s connection destinations are 13 locations with new connecting
service. Those cities in California are: Bakersfield, Carlsbad, Monterey,
Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Stockton. Cities in Arizona include:
Flagstaff, Kingman, Prescott and Yuma. Other cities include: Grand Junction,
Colo., Farmington, N.M. and Eugene, Ore.
