Infotriever Technology Selected for new e-Travel unit

Amadeus
has chosen technology from Infotriever for the newly created business unit e-Travel that provides global services for airlines, corporations, travel agencies and other travel partners. Amadeus will deploy the Infotriever system across the portfolio of consumer and enterprise travel technology solutions of its e-Travel unit, enabling travelers to save itineraries to their desktop computers, PDAs and other handheld devices using Palm OS, MS Outlook, Lotus Notes and Act 2000.

e-Travel
will initially add Infotriever to Checkmytrip.com
, the Amadeus Web-based itinerary service. The two companies said this will empower the global network of Amadeus-affiliated travel agents and travel service providers to deliver travel itineraries directly into their travelers?Epersonal desktop and handheld calendars.

“Offering the capability to download itinerary events to electronic calendars is another example of our goal to respond to the needs of our travel partners?Esaid Jér™me Destors, e-Travel`s Director Travel Suppliers, Agencies and Portals. “After an exhaustive evaluation of the available options, it became clear that outsourcing this capability to Infotriever was the best option for e-Travel. Infotriever`s robust security standards and stringent privacy policy make this product ideally suited for our partners and travelers.”

Infotriever
offers a means of communicating time-sensitive event and critical contact information. Infotriever circumvents the overloaded e-mail inbox, to which most people are growing increasingly unresponsive, by enabling companies to communicate the essentials of their message directly to individuals via their personal organizers.

“By offering Infotriever to their network of airlines, enterprise customers and travelers, e-Travel is further reinforcing its position as a market leader,” said Paul Maguire, CEO of Infotriever.
“Infotriever enables companies to communicate not only more effectively, but also more personally with their customers.”
