Expedia.com has been recognised as Yahoo! Internet Life`s “Best Overall Travel Site” and also one of Mobile Computing & Communications` “Best Mobile Web Sites of 2001.”

The honours praise Expedia for providing consumers with attentive customer care and easy access to great deals.

Specifically, in the January 2002 issue of Yahoo! Internet Life, Expedia was named the Best Overall Travel Site and was recognised as one of the year`s 100 Best Sites for the comprehensive customer resources provided on its Travel Disruption Resource Center in response to the tragedies of Sept. 11.

Mobile Computing & Communications` January 2002 issue honoured Expedia for the second consecutive year as one of the Best Mobile Web Sites of 2001. Expedia.com was one of only two sites to receive the honour this year, and was praised for both its overall user friendliness and the extensive choice and powerful control enabled by Expedia`s Expert Searching & Pricing (ESP) platform. “Besides listing the best rates for flights, hotels and car reservations, Expedia has made the search very accommodating with the Start Over button and a handy Change Your Search sidebar for easy stipulation viewing” (Mobile Computing & Communications, January 2002).
