Northwest Airlines (Nasdaq: NWAC)
today unveiled a package of bonus offers for customers who purchase travel at
nwa.com, the carrier`s Web site, and for members of its WorldPerks frequent
flier program who book their award travel at nwa.com.
 
“nwa.com provides customers with an unparalleled level of choice,
convenience and control over their travel plans,” said Al Lenza, vice
president of e-commerce and distribution.  “The bonus offers we are announcing
also make using nwa.com extremely rewarding with each and every purchase or
award redemption from now through April 30, 2002.”

 
BONUS MILES FOR PURCHASES AT NWA.COM

  Northwest announced that first time buyers who purchase their ticket
online from January 1, 2002 through April 30, 2002, would be awarded 2,500
bonus miles.
 
Additionally, customers will earn 1,000 WorldPerks bonus miles for each
subsequent purchase from January 1, 2002 through April 30, 2002.
 
The bonus offer is not valid with CyberSaver fares, E-Biz Perks

DISCOUNTS FOR BOOKING WORLDPERKS AWARD TRAVEL ONLINE

  Northwest also announced discounts on the number of miles required for
travel awards when they are booked through nwa.com.  From January 1, 2002
through April 30, 2002, Northwest will offer the discounts for

  Customers who are not members of the Northwest Airlines WorldPerks program
can enroll online in just a few minutes by clicking on the “Enroll in
WorldPerks” icon on the home page of nwa.com.
  In addition to online enrollment and online award travel redemption on
Northwest, KLM and Continental, WorldPerks members can visit
http://www.nwa.com/freqfly/ to check their mileage balance, view their account
history and learn more about earning, managing and redeeming their WorldPerks
