At a time when the aviation industry is feeling the pressures of a downward economy and the threat of increased taxation, Air Jamaica has been dealt a tremendous blow with the announcement that Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Allen Chastanet has resigned from his post.
The move will come into effect as of Aug. 31 this year. Chastanet, a St. Lucian, who once stood as director of tourism for the Island, will move his interests into the operation of the 20-room Villa Creole
Villa Creole is a new boutique-style hotel situated in the Rodney Bay of St. Lucia. The official opening is penned for October of this year. Allen was with Air Jamaica for eight years.
