Amanyara debuts luxury wellness facility

The luxury resort of Amanyara on the island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos has launched a new wellness facility offering massages, scrubs, wraps, and beauty treatments along with yoga and Pilates classes.

The Serenity Villa encompasses 13,000 square feet including a reception area and four treatment pavilions built around a swimming pool. Each treatment pavilion can accommodate one couple and features a changing area with double vanities, a soaking tub and a “rain” shower.  Two of the pavilions feature outdoor bathtubs and showers set within the walls of a small garden.  There is a separate studio, equipped with a Reformer, for private Pilates or yoga sessions.

The reception pavilion is a spacious lounge where herbal tea and health drinks are served before or after treatments.

“The Serenity Villa affords us an opportunity to bring the best wellness and fitness practices to our guests,” states Steve Harvey, Spa Manager of Amanyara.  “Our luxurious treatments and personalized fitness classes are conducted in a stunning villa for an experience that is truly relaxing ... and beautiful to boot.”

Amanyara has created an unrivalled ability to sculpt romantic hideaways that blend seamlessly into their local environment. This flagship property was voted “Turks and Caicos’ Leading Boutique Hotel” at the World Travel Awards last month. The resort is elegance personified, with a secluded beachside setting that echoes the nuances of the tropics and the overwhelming beauty of these paradise islands.

In other news, Amanyara will host Tanya Streeter, a world record-setting free-diver, who will be in residence from 22 to 29 January 2009 to offer one-on-one free-diving instruction, private snorkeling trips and insight into marine conservation and the winter migration of Humpback whales in the waters in front of the resort.
