The who’s who of the travel industry were out in force for the prestigious World Travel Awards North and Central American Ceremony, held at Walt Disney’s Swan and Dolphin, Orlando, Florida.Highlights of this year’s star-studded evening, sponsored by Eurostar, included American Airlines winning “North America’s Leading Airline” and the legendary St Regis Hotel, New York walking off with “North America’s Leading Hotel”. Canada was also in sparkling form, whilst Central America’s rise to tourism stardom was acknowledged with 37 of its travel brands and destinations picking up top honours.
