bmi goes double daily to Moscow

bmi has announced it will
double the number of flights from Heathrow to Moscow Domodedovo from the
start of its winter timetable. The bmi business cabin features comfortable leather seats with a market
leading 50” seat pitch - that’s 16” more than other carriers on the route.
And with great value business fares from 1,421 there has never been a
better time to do business on, and with, bmi.

The additional daily flight means improved flight times and wider range of
convenient connections at both Heathrow and Domodedovo. The additional
service builds on the success of current daily flights to the Russian
capital which launched in October 2006. bmi operates an A320 with a two
cabin configuration of 20 Business seats and 108 Economy seats on the
route.

The new service sees a widening of the commercial agreement between bmi and
Russian Federation carrier Transaero, which will also increase its daily
flights between Moscow and London offering travellers a total of four
flights a day in each direction - more frequency on the route than any
other airline partnership. The deal allows bmi to offer onward connections
in the Russian Federation on the services of Transaero from Moscow
Domodedovo, whilst Transaero is able to offer connecting flights at
Heathrow onto the extensive short and long haul networks of bmi.

Peter Spencer, bmi managing director, said: “We have been planning to
launch additional services between London and Moscow for some time, so are
delighted to realise our ambition. Since launching the route nearly two
years ago we have experienced strong growth and feel introducing an extra
return flight combined with our market leading business class cabin we can
offer business customers a real alternative.”
