Expedia, Formula One renew partnership

Expedia Distribution has renewed its relationship with Formula One Administration Limited by signing a contract to continue its exclusive running of the Ticket and Travel Service at Formula1.com.

The new multi-year deal means that the 20 million users of Formula1.com will continue to be able to purchase tickets and travel packages to all races in the Formula One calendar through Expedia, the world’s largest online travel retailer.

The service will continue to offer the product variety and price competitiveness that has come to be expected of Expedia, and will use Expedia’s award-winning travel technology, which has been specifically adapted for Formula1.com.

The service offers a wide variety of ticket types to all races in the Grand Prix calendar and already has most of the 2008 races on sale. Uniquely, users are able to buy in five different currencies including Sterling, Euro, Dollars, Canadian Dollars and Australian Dollars.

David Roche, Senior Vice President, Expedia Distribution, comments:
“We’re thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Formula One. We have worked together to build a highly successful platform for race fans to book all their travel needs. We will continue to work closely with the Formula One team to ensure that we offer simple, cost effective ways to book travel to the Grand Prix season throughout 2008 and beyond.
