Jet connects Mid East to Mumbai, Delhi

Jet Airways will be India’s first private airline to start services to Gulf with its direct daily flights from Kochi, Mumbai and Delhi. Jet Airways’ will initially launch two daily direct flights on the Kuwait-Kochi-Kuwait and Bahrain-Kochi-Bahrain sectors. The airline will also operate daily direct flights on the Bahrain-Mumbai-Bahrain and Kuwait-Delhi-Kuwait sectors, effective January 05, 2008.

Jet Airways will introduce its world-class service on the Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these sectors, offering the highest quality of comfort, courtesy, reliability and standards of in-flight as well as ground operations, for which it has been highly acclaimed.

Announcing the launch of these flights into the Gulf sector, Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways, said

Jet Airways’ flight 9W 573 (Kuwait-Kochi) will depart Kuwait International Airport at 1230 hrs and arrive at Kochi International Airport at 2020 hrs. Flight 9W 574 (Kochi-Kuwait) will depart from Kochi International Airport at 1940 hrs and arrive at Kuwait International Airport at 2220 hrs.

Jet Airways’ flight 9W 593 (Bahrain-Kochi) will depart Bahrain International Airport at 0845 hrs and arrive at Kochi International Airport at 1610 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 594 (Kochi-Bahrain) will depart Kochi International Airport at 1750 hrs and arrive at Bahrain International Airport at 2000 hrs.

Jet Airways’ flight 9W 591 (Bahrain-Mumbai) will depart Bahrain International Airport at 2130 hrs and arrive at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 0350 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 592 (Mumbai-Bahrain) will depart from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 0605 hrs and arrive at Bahrain at 0715 hrs.

Jet Airways’ flight 9W 571 (Kuwait-Delhi) will depart Kuwait International Airport at 2350 hrs and arrive at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 0630 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 572 (Delhi-Kuwait) will depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 0900 hrs and arrive at Kuwait International Airport at 1100 hrs.

With an average fleet age of 4.70 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleet in the world. Jet Airways operates over 350 flights daily.

Flights to 54 destinations span the length and breadth of India and beyond, including New York (JFK), New York (Newark), Toronto, Brussels, London Heathrow, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok and Kathmandu. The airline plans to extend its international operations to other cities in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in phases with the induction of additional wide-body aircraft into its fleet.
