Travel Channel partners with WTM

Travel Channel International, which has increased its distribution worldwide during the past year by more than 96%, has become one of World Travel Market’s official Travel Broadcast Partners.

The go ahead consumer travel TV channel, now available across Europe, Middle East and Africa, is producing a 30-minute programme from World Travel Market, repeated fifteen times in November and December. The station is also producing the spectacular prize presentation of WTM’s Passport Competition at WTM’s Conference Set on Thursday 15 November, part of the Travel Agents Day of interactive training, skills and product knowledge.

Fiona Jeffery, Chairman of World Travel Market said: “We have been working closely with Travel Channel International for the past five years and I am delighted that they are now an official Travel Broadcast Partner.

“Travel Channel International has seen remarkable growth and enjoys a hugely significant and influential audience with 85% of viewers regularly travelling overseas for business and pleasure.

Travel Channel’s CEO, Richard Wolfe said the station’s new Travel Broadcast Partner status with World Travel Market was a reflection of the growing relationship, cemented over the past few years.
