Budget hotel site launches in Europe

EuroCheapo, is launching CheapoSearch, the first personalized
search tool created specifically for budget accommodations. CheapoSearch lets users
find and book small hotels, pensions, B&B’s, and hostels throughout Europe, and
compare rates from multiple reservation agencies.

CheapoSearch boosts EuroCheapo’s inventory of penny-pinching hotels to more than
25,000 across 32 countries. Travelers can search by date and sift through available
European hotels, all selected by EuroCheapo’s editors based on rate, location, and
user rating. Staff favorites, which have been visited and reviewed by EuroCheapo
correspondents, appear at the top of search results as “Editor’s Picks.”

“By searching the best budget hotels in Europe, CheapoSearch is able to help
travelers experience more of Europe for less. This is especially helpful now, with
the euro so strong,” said Tom Meyers, founder and editor of EuroCheapo.com. “We’re
excited to offer our users the first personalized hotel search engine that combines
savvy in-house advice with easy-to-use hotel rate comparison tools. Our editors have
been there.”

For example, a recent search for lodging in Paris for October 24th, 2007, turned up
228 centrally-located hotels, 20 of which could be booked for under $100 per night.
In Amsterdam for the same dates, CheapoSearch generated 174 hotels (57 for under
$100 per night).

To ensure quality results, CheapoSearch only includes hotels selected by the site’s
editors, who monitor and update listings daily. EuroCheapo does not allow hotel
owners or online travel agencies to pay to be listed.
