Conrad Hong Kong unveils upgrades

The completion of a US$20 million renovation inspired by classical Chinese design has cemented Conrad Hong Kong’s position as one of the top hotels in Hong Kong’s central business district.Designed by leading international hotel designer Glenn Texeira the renovation fuses Chinese tradition with contemporary style. All of the hotel’s facilities, including its 467 rooms and 46 suites, meeting facilities, Lobby Lounge and Brassiere on the Eighth have undergone the transformation.

Dennis Clarke, Managing Director and General Manager of the Conrad Hong Kong, said “This extensive refurbishment, a contemporary interpretation of the vibrant character of Hong Kong, is about enhancing our guest’s experience. We constantly invest in our facilities, the quality of our service and the look and feel of our hotel. Our primary goal is to meet our guests’ every need in a comfortable and luxurious environment that celebrates the local culture and destination.”

The guest rooms, newly decorated in warm golden tones, now also boast the latest generation of in-room technology such as LCD screens, IPod connections and high speed internet, positioned on traditional Chinese cabinets and lacquered desks. The hotel’s lavish public areas feature beautifully hand painted gold columns in a cherry blossom motif. All the hotel’s guest rooms, suites, executive floor and lounge command sweeping views of Hong Kong Harbor, Victoria Peak or the city skyline.
