IHG completes Jiuzhai re-branding

InterContinental will open the InterContinental
Resort Jiuzhai Paradise (formerly known as Jiuzhai Paradise Holiday
Resort) in late summer 2007.This re-branding RMB45 million (approx
£2,959,000) “Mountain-Side Paradise”, owned by Chengdu Convention and
Exhibition Group will feature 1,020 resort rooms and suites, six
restaurants and bar to appease all palates, over 7,000 sqm of meeting
spaces and a comprehensive range of leisure facilities featuring a
10,000 sqm spa amid an indoor swimming pool, whirlpools, sauna, steam
bath, massage treatment, gymnasium etc.


The resort is located on a 2,640m altitude overlooking the picturesque
mountains of Aba, an autonomous prefecture of Tibetan and Qiang
nationalities in Sichuan. The *InterContinental Resort Jiuzhai Paradise*
is designed to complement its high mountain location by featuring
natural elements of limestone, wood and water reflecting the local
landscape, colours and culture. The resort offers a “true luxury forest
experience” in an unparalleled location, yet still provides convenient
access to shopping, dining, and a pristine mountain-top setting.


All guestrooms are based on suite concepts, most of which range from
38sqm in size, while suites range from 66—206 sqm. The finest
hand-crafted Tibetan & Qiang furnishing are appointed in all guest rooms
while maximizing on comfort and look out to the glory of tranquility
views. Private balconies or terraces add to the exclusive atmosphere.
