Gulf Air reveals repatriate offer

Following the recent announcement of general amnesty by the Government of Bahrain to over-staying hapless expatriate workers, Gulf Air has come forward with a very low, one-way fare to 18 destinations for those wanting to go back to their home country. For as low as BD40, the amnesty seekers cleared by the authorities, can fly to Delhi, Mumbai, Karachi, Dacca or Damascus. The fare to Lahore, Peshawar, Mumbai or Delhi is just BD50.

“Gulf Air always extends a helping hand for those in need,” said Gulf Air Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales Lee Shave.

“It is more of a humanitarian gesture, in line with the government’s announcement of general amnesty to over-stayers in the Kingdom. We hope people will make use of this offer to be back with their nearest and dearest.”

Tickets can be purchased from any of the Gulf Air travel agents, or its sales offices in Manama, Seef Mall or Sanad.

“As the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Air is pleased to help ease the financial burden of these unfortunate people and help them save some money when they return home,” added Gulf Air General Manager Sales Bahrain Abdulmalik Al Saei.
