Century Hyatt Tokyo renamed

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has announced its plan to rename the Century Hyatt Tokyo as the Hyatt Regency Tokyo effective 1st October 2007.

The hotel, which opened in September 1980, is the longest established Hyatt property in Japan, and is widely recognised for its reputation, standards of service excellence and attention to detail. The renaming of the hotel as Hyatt Regency Tokyo will not only align the property with Hyatt International’s portfolio of branded hotels, but also place Tokyo as a three-brand Hyatt destination, one of only two cities in the world to extend this unique offering. Together with the inimitable Park Hyatt Tokyo and Grand Hyatt Tokyo, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts are now positioned to offer discriminating travellers the very best of Japan’s capital. The property will also be an excellent addition to the Hyatt Regency network and strengthen Hyatt’s presence in Japan, which currently includes eight properties across the country, namely in *censored*uoka, Hakone, Kyoto and Osaka.
