The U.K. Government has offered Airbus assurances that if required it could offer repayable loans of around GBP400 million to help fund the develop its new A350 XWB airplane, The Sunday Express newspaper reported. The report cited unnamed sources close to the situation. Officials at the Department of Trade & Industry couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
