New spa opens at Marigot Bay

A new spa has opened on St Lucia in the Caribbean as part of the Discovery at Marigot Bay resort development.
Covering 2,100sq ft (195sq m), the Lapli Spa is located in Schooner House on the waterfront.

The spa has three open-air treatment rooms boasting private decks overlooking the bay alongside a separate Vichy room for wet treatments.

Featuring ESPA products, a full range of local therapies have also been devised for Lapli by the Caribbean Herbalists Association, using a selection of aloe vera, hibiscus, cactus, sea moss, banana products and other locally-grown fruit and herbs.

Other facilities include a Zen garden for post-treatment relaxation, two private treatment cabanas and two wooden, Japanese-style ofuru soaking tubs.

The spa will also offer special mind and body programmes, ranging from executive retreats involving meditation, exercise and spa treatments, to Guest Guru events, where personal development experts will share their wisdom.

The spa was designed by Judith Verity in consultation with Tabitha Stapely with a ‘Zen Caribbean’ focus and concept. Glass-clad walls and cool colours are offset by warm, hardwood decks and doors.

The resort and spa are managed by Grace Leo-Andrieu’s GLA Hotels. Details: www.discoverystlucia.com
