easyJet renews Mondial insurance deal

easyJet has renewed its contract with Mondial Assistance, to provide online travel
insurance to its customers. The new three year pan-European deal cements the strong
partnership forged between the two companies since Mondial Assistance first started
to provide travel insurance to easyJet’s customers via a white label internet
solution in 2002.

Mondial Assistance was chosen by easyJet against tough competition in the travel
insurance marketplace to provide dynamically packaged travel insurance, branded as
easyJet, in 16 countries across Europe*.  Additionally, standalone insurance options
will be available in all 21 of the countries served by the airline which carries
more than 3 million passengers per month and reported over 20% growth in revenue for
the 12 months to September 2006.  A number of product enhancements have also been
introduced since the new contract came into force.

Over 33 million travellers per year will continue to be able to book easyJet branded
single and annual multi-trip travel insurance through easyJet’s website at the same
time as their flights or independently.  Once the insurance has been purchased, all
policy documents are sent within four hours by e-fulfilment.

The strength of the relationship and understanding between the two companies was key
to the renewal of the contract.  Another important factor was the capability of
Mondial Assistance to provide a consistent product and service across Europe and
beyond, via its presence in over 26 countries with 33 operations centres on five
continents.  This is crucial to easyJet as it continues to expand its European
network, giving customers across the region access to the same products and high
quality of service.

Andy Hibbert, Head of Ancillary Revenue at easyJet, comments: “We are delighted to
continue working with Mondial Assistance to offer easyJet customers insurance which
gives them the best level of cover for their trip at a low cost.  Mondial Assistance
has not only demonstrated its capacity as a truly international provider, but also
stands out from the competition in terms of its value for money offering which does
not compromise the quality of its products.”

Erick Morazin, Director of International Sales for all travel related activity at
Mondial Assistance, comments: “The easyJet contract is of great importance to our
business and we are very excited to continue working with them.  Mondial Assistance
prides itself on delivering a top class, worldwide service at the best possible
price to its customers and to their end users, and in this respect there is clear
synergy with easyJet.  We look forward to introducing new developments over the
coming months and continuing to lead the online travel insurance field with our
innovative and bespoke solutions.”
