Swiss rolls out new VIP vehicle

The VIP limousine service SWISS
provides at Zurich and Geneva airports now features new vehicles thanks to a strategic
partnership with DaimlerChrysler. These new vehicles enable the airline to continue to sparkle with its ground product and offer top customers this first-class service.

The new vehicles were officially handed over today at Zurich Airport.

At Zurich Airport, Bruno Schläfli, SWISS General Manager Ground Product, accepted the keys for the new vehicles from Diego
Tomasin, Director Mercedes Car Group.

Providing the ideal ceremonial background for this event was a SWISS flagship Airbus
A340 that was on the ground for line maintenance.

This partnership brings together the top-of-the-line products of two
companies with an outstanding reputation for quality and service.

Four Mercedes S-Class limousines, one R-Class limousine
and two Viano limousine buses, all with SWISS branding, are now part of the VIP vehicle fleet at Zurich and Geneva.

In addition, the agreement with DaimlerChrysler includes three Smart forfour cars for use as Duty Station Manager vehicles and
two Smart fortwo cars for Ground Services and Swiss World Cargo.

The SWISS VIP Service staff greet and attend to SWISS’s
top customers at check-in, escort them to the SWISS Lounge and then by limousine to their aircraft or pick up them up from
the aircraft upon landing.

At Zurich Airport the limousine service is mainly used to transport SWISS First Class passengers bound for the USA from the SWISS Lounge A to Pier E. In Geneva, too, this service for top customers and VIPs is highly rated, as is reflected in the deployment of the two new S-Class limousines.

Swiss won Europe’s Leading Airline, Europe’s Leading Business Class Airline and World’s Leading Economy Class honours at this year’s World Travel Awards gala ceremony in the Turks and Caicos.
