bmi regional remains most punctual

bmi regional has been named the UK’s most punctual airline for the first
six months of 2006, according to official statistics published by the
CAA. The Aberdeen-based airline continues to beat the competition hands down,
retaining the number one spot and building on the success of 2005, when
it was named as the UK’s most punctual scheduled airline of the year.

Overall, during the period January to June 2006, 92% of all bmi regional
flights were on time and delays averaged just over four minutes, way
ahead of the second placed airline whose on time flights were registered
at just over 87% and average delays of over seven minutes.

Managing director of bmi regional, Stewart Adams commented:
“Our reputation as a leading business airline means that punctuality
must remain one of our key strengths. Our customers have come to know
and expect timely arrivals and departures, a quality in-flight service
and reliability as standard. Locally and nationally across our network,
our staff have worked hard to improve our performance still further and
I’m delighted that we continue to lead the way, setting the pace that
our competitors must follow.”

All bmi regional flights offer the speed and comfort of an all-jet
aircraft service, separate business and economy class seating on board
and continues to offer complimentary in-flight refreshments to all
passengers, unlike competitors. Business lounge facilities and range of
check-in options, including online or self-service check-in, also
ensures speed and efficiency at the airport.
