First 4-star Novotel opens in Bucharest

The first four-star Novotel opened on August 28 in Bucharest on an investment worth around 35 million euros, according to figures supplied to Rompres. The four-starred hotel has 258 rooms, a presidential apartment, nine junior apartments and six apartments, one auditorium, four conference halls, two-level underground parking (200 parking lots), a restaurant Cafe Theatro and the bar ‘‘37’‘, a commercial gallery of over 1,300 square metres, a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool.

Besides the standard equipping of a four-starred hotel, Novotel also provides Internet wireless services, plasma TV screens and other facilities for the comfort of its customers.

‘‘Through the innovative concept of the hotel, Novotel Bucarest City Centre plans to become landmark on the Romanian hotel industry. Novotel is present in 56 countries and the decision of entering the Romanian market was prompted by the last years’ high potential in this area. Bucharest’s hotel market has an occupancy rate of 60-70 percent, representing the upper level of the European average. We estimate the occupancy rate until the end of the year will be of about 50 percent, said manager of Novotel Bucarest City Centre
