Opodo reports 11% booking rise

SECURITY ALERTS HAVE NOT DETERED OPODO TRAVELLERS

Despite the disruptive and stringent security measures introduced as a result of the recent terror alerts, Opodo customers have proven determined not to let these affect their travel plans.  Opodo can reveal that in the last week the online travel company has seen an 11% rise in the number of flight bookings.  Furthermore, Opodo can reveal that its top destination for the Bank Holiday break is New York.

“Our customers are clearly a resilient lot and are not willing to let these security alerts to affect their travel plans. This, combined with the level of control and security at UK airports means that our customers are happy to keep on travelling,” says Neil Mott, UK Country Manager.  “September is a busy month for bookings and we predict that we will see a further rise in bookings once our customers have returned from their Bank Holiday break.”
