Worldspan, L.P., together with Airtrade and BCD Travel in the Netherlands, both part of BCD Holdings N.V., are entering a new long-term travel technology agreement. Through the new five-year contract, Worldspan will continue to provide global distribution system (GDS) services and sophisticated travel technologies to several of BCD Holdings’ market-leading travel companies, including Airtrade, Vliegwinkel, VakantieXperts, Toer Business and BCD Travel. Worldspan and Airtrade have been technology partners for 16 years.

Present for the signing of the new contract were Wim Butte, chief executive officer of Airtrade, and J.P. Poot, Worldspan regional manager.

“We are pleased to renew this successful and long-standing partnership with Airtrade,” said Graham Nichols, Worldspan vice president - EMEA. “As the industry evolves, Worldspan will ensure that the BCD companies continue to realize superior value from our offerings. We look forward to providing industry-leading technology and services for years to come.”

Airtrade recently launched its proprietary TravelPackager reservations system, providing travel companies with reliable and up-to-date travel information and availability, including IATA rates, through an online connection to the Worldspan GDS.
