The AA rolls out online hotel service

Active Hotels is teaming up with UK motoring organisation, the AA to launch a new hotel booking service.
The AA’s award winning website is the source of over 8000 places to stay in the UK and over 2000 of these establishments are also located on the Active Hotels website. The joint venture will provide these 2000 establishments with a ‘real time’ booking service on the AA website and give them a greater reach to internet savvy consumers.

The AA’s experienced team of inspectors visit every establishment registered with the AA and lend their expert attention and knowledge to each one. Not only do AA accredited establishments receive a star rating; they are entitled to a host of other marketing benefits, including a published entry in the UK’s best selling guide books: The AA Hotel Guide and The AA Bed & breakfast Guide.

Mark Fulton, Partner Sales Manager, Active Hotels said “We are delighted to be working with the UK’s leading motorist organisation and authority on UK accommodation. We look forward to offering our hoteliers an instant online booking facility via a quality distribution channel.”

Delivering over 5 million room nights a year, Active Hotels are inviting members of the AA’s recognition schemes to maximise their consumer potential by registering at www.activehotels.com. Likewise, the AA will be approaching those establishments registered with Active Hotels but not with themselves, to join the credible AA schemes.

Albert Hampson, Business Manager Hotel Services, AA stated, “Active Hotels was our partner of choice due to their extensive experience in the UK hotel market and flexibility of approach. We are committed to offering our loyal members a seamless online booking facility as well as welcoming new hotels to our growing portfolio of properties.”
